To greatly simplify it we make Wescolt 80s in 4 easy steps. Two machining operations, one surface prep opp, and finally black hardcoat anodize.

In step 1 we start with a solid block of aluminum and robotically feed it into a 5 axis mill and it comes out looking like this.

In step 2 we flip it over and put it into a 3 axis mill to remove the excess material and finish the back side.

In step 3 we clean and prep the surface for coating.

Step 4 is Type III Black Hardcoat Anodize to ensure these lowers will stand up to the abuse you put them through and look good for many years to come!
